Report Card Week!!!!

Hello, Lou-Man! I know you're on your way home from your road-trip with Nonna and Pop so I thought I'd take a moment and say 'hi' on your blog ... I know that it can be really stressful when it's time for Report Cards and that you tend to worry about our reactions ...

I just want you to know that your Dad and I are proud of you, Lou. The day you were born is a bright and shining start in our memories and all the ones we've made together since! We think you are the most amazing little boy we've ever known and you are growing into a fine young man. You have passion, dreams, enthusiasm and a generous and kind heart. You are very loved by many and bless others with your willingness to love in return.

Your father and I were talking about our final years of high school (a few more years until you come to that mountain, my son :0) We were commenting on our 'near' miss for graduation (for both of us!) and how we struggled in many classes in school. But, there were those classes that we really enjoyed and found ourselves doing well in! Guess what? We still do well in those areas (and still struggle with the others :0)

God has a plan for you, Lou and He will continue to take care of you and direct you ... remember this and to acknowledge Him in all you do - out of your obedience will come blessings in abundance, my love. It is more than ok to struggle - it is the 'stuff of character' !!!

Anyway, we love you and miss you and are looking forward to your return.

Love, Mom

Hi, Lou-Man! Hope You're Having Fun!

Hey there, buddy! We miss you lots ... hope you're having a good time! Here's some stuff I found for you. One is a bookmark from the movie 'Amazing Grace' (John Newton wrote that hymn many many years ago). You can look up the words and history of it on Mom and Dad's blog if you want. Also, there are some new colouring pages for you for Lent. This pencil drawing of Jesus really shows the joy that He knows - it is the same joy that we have living 'resurrected' lives, yes?

We love you very much, Lou and we'll see you Sunday! (I have to go see the girls now - they fighting about something again! :0)

Lou's First Model Helicopter

Today, I got a new model helicopter. I put it together in about 2 hours - at the beginning, the propeller was tricky. Here is a picture of me with my finished model!

I May Stand Corrected, Lou-Man

Hi Louis:
I was looking in at the Blog with your trip to "Bird Watching" and saw that you were identifying MOOSE TRACKS ( not the ice cream of course) I thought it would be interesting for you to have the enclosed pictures of animal tracks. Also....
you can see the ones you and I saw on our cross-country ski trip. If you look at the coyote ones and the wolf ones and keep in mind that when the snow is melting the tracks enlarge....you will know why Nonna thought maybe a wolf was tracking US on our ski trip...however, I had Pop ( the experience back country man) look personally at those tracks and he confirmed Coyote....not Wolf...........................
It was a time of andrenilin wasn't it Lou?
Hope we get to the woods again soon.
Love Nonna

P.S. I was also noticing that the Mule Deer Tracks and the Moose Tracks sure DO look alot alike. The verdict is still out ... Love, Mom
